Community Investment Program - Giving Back to Local Organizations

3/10/2009

Our Community Investment Program allows the employees and staff here at Plouse, to give back to our community through sponsorships, creating parts for not-for-profit organizations and much more. This year, we are sponsoring the Palmyra FIRST Robotics Team 2539 from Palmyra Area High School, in Pennsylvania.

Palmyra Area High School FIRST Robotics Team 2539
The Palmyra FIRST Robotics Team 2539 consists of 16 students and 4 mentors. The 2009 competition is Team 2539's second year of involvement with FIRST Robotics Competition. At the 2008 competition, hosted in Philadelphia, Team 2539 placed 19 out of 44 and were presented the Rookie Inspirational Award and the Highest Rookie Seed Award. FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) is a unique varsity sport of the mind, designed to help high-school-aged young people discover how interesting and rewarding the life of engineers and researchers can be. Each team is given a 6 week build period, to prepare for the March 19-21 FIRST Robotics Competition in Philadelphia.
