Plouse Now ITAR Compliant

7/27/2011

Plouse Precision Manufacturing is now registered and compliant with International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) which is administered by the United States Department of State Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.

We have met requirements pertaining to:

 - Organizational Structure
 - Corporate Policy
 - Documentation
 - Procedures that Permit Us to Manage
 - Use and Transfer of ITAR Regulated Materials and Information

In itself, ITAR registration is a strategic business advantage for our clients that are in any way involved in defense related manufacturing. This is further enhanced by the three Federal Firearms License (FFL) types (6, 7 and 10) Plouse was awarded in early 2010. We are now better positioned to expand our precision manufacturing and related services to aerospace, military and homeland security markets.

About ITAR

ITAR regulates the export and import of defense articles, services and information. Its goal is to safeguard U.S. National Security and further U.S. foreign policy objectives. ITAR was enacted in 1976 during the Cold War. The purpose of U.S. ITAR regulations is to ensure that foreign countries, or foreign nationals working for companies in the U.S., do not have access to any of the designs generated by military vendors or customers. U.S. Government enforcement activities have increased dramatically since 1999.
